Delhi Daredevils (DD), who went for a complete overhaul last season ended in yet another howling failure. They have let go of their entire side for the second time in a row, and will doubtless have to buy back half their side, thereby rendering their entire exercise useless.
Ahead of players auction for IPL 2014, on 10 January 2014 Delhi Daredevils team announced that they will not retain any playes for their current squad for the season 7 of IPL. With no players retained, the team will have the maximum right-to-match cards among all the franchises at the auction: i.e., three. The 2015 IPL auction is all set to take place in Bangalore on Monday for the upcoming season this year, which will be the eighth edition of the cash-rich league. Around 200 players are expected to go through the auctions with the eight franchises to battle it out with their funds. Delhi Daredevils will be the team to watch out for as they have released most of their players and look to rebuild their team in wake of the dismal performance last season, thus finishing at the bottom of the table.
