Hello and welcome to Cricketcountry’s coverage of the IPL 2015 Auction for Chennai Super Kings. Catch all the live updates for the team’s action in the auction.
As things stand, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is likely to remain a legitimate team despite N Srinivasan’s conflict of interest. As a result, CSK remains the strongest side in IPL, and is unlikely to have a very hectic auction.
In 2014, before the players’ mega-auction, Chennai retained Dhoni, Raina, Jadeja, Ashwin and Bravo. The retention left them with a purse of INR21 crores to spend at the auction. At the auction, the franchise bought the likes of Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Smith, Faf du Plessis, Ashish Nehra, Mohit Sharma among others. IPL 2015 Player Auction Live Updates

The 2015 IPL auction is all set to take place in Bangalore on Monday for the upcoming season this year, which will be the eighth edition of the cash-rich league. Around 200 players are expected to go through the auctions with the eight franchises to battle it out with their funds. Delhi Daredevils will be the team to watch out for as they have released most of their players and look to rebuild their team in wake of the dismal performance last season, thus finishing at the bottom of the table.
