This will also be the venue of its first World Cup 2015 match against Pakistan. India has been winless ever since they landed in Australia mid-November. They will be looking to break the trend when they take on minnows Afghanistan who have had an inspired run coming into the tournament.

India has played the Asian minnows twice and both the times they have given the defending champions a tough time. India has a lot of issues to sort out going into the World Cup. Most of the top players are out of form. The bowling unit hasn’t fired well either. Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Suresh raina haven’t been among the runs. With Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel both in the side, MS Dhoni has failed to complete an ideal Playing XI.
