The last time Mumbai Indians won the Indian Premier League - in 2013 - Sachin Tendulkar was an integral part of the playing XI. On Sunday, the veteran cricketer - and now the mentor of the team - watched the IPL 2015 final from the sidelines but the ecstasy after his team's win was almost the same. Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by 41 runs at the Eden Gardens on Sunday to lift the IPL title for the second time. Tendulkar rushed to celebrate with the players and it seems the party went on well into the Sunday night. (Match report | Scorecard | Highlights)

The former cricketer posted several images from the celebrations on his official Facebook account. Even as he celebrated the triumph - one that came despite Mumbai losing their first four matches of the season, Tendulkar remained humble and played down his part in the win.
"It was great fun. The team worked hard and stayed together in tough times. I gave my inputs when they were needed," Tendulkar had said after the match, adding that it was head coach Ricky Ponting who deserves the credit. (Top quotes | Ponting emerges as the real hero)
While being humble has always been one of his biggest strengths, hitting big defined him over through his years as a cricketer. But will he return as a player for Mumbai Indians?
"I am not going to come back and play IPL. Have a few plans and may play a few matches here and there," Tendulkar said of his future plans.
