Rajasthan have had a bit of misfortune in the last few games despite playing with positive intent. The team dominated the points table but a few abandoned matches and defeats forced them to concede their place to Chennai Super Kings. Nonetheless, their five wins are impressive enough to overshadow the three defeats. One win was against Delhi at the Feroze Shah Kotla and Shane Watson's men would be banking on lessons learnt in that win to stage an encore.
Delhi on the other hand must have learnt from that match and the other three defeats. If the side has to make it to the playoffs, it must get back to the winning path and remain firmly on it. The Friday win against Punjab was a start - Zaheer Khan making a comeback and helping his team to a nine-wicket win. It is still too early to term it as a renaissance and under JP Duminy, Delhi will have to play out of their skins to increase Rajasthan's frustrations.
Both teams boast of a long list of power-packed performers. If Rajasthan have the consistent Steve Smith, Delhi team has the flamboyant Yuvraj Singh. If Watson can lead by setting an example, Duminy can explode with his all-round skills as well. Overall then, the two teams may be quite apart in the points table but on the field, they can give each other a stiff fight.
