Tamim, on 138, and Kayes, on 132, propelled Bangladesh to 273 without loss at stumps, the highest partnership in its Test history. The record feat slashed Pakistan's 296-run first-innings lead to just 23, and from a slim chance of saving the Test to a probable likelihood on the unthreatening pitch at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium.
Tamim's third straight century was also his seventh overall, making him Bangladesh's leading century-maker, while Kayes notched his second century in consecutive Tests.

Adds that they need to improve their bowling and also fielding. Thinks that they dropped too many catches it the field. Further adds that they need to improve their line and length in the next game. Credits the openers, Tamim and Kayes for their opening stand. Says that they saved the game for Bangladesh.
After losing the three match ODI series, the only T20 international, Pakistan might have thought that they could win this test, but Tamim hasn't let them to do so. They are still win less on this tour.
Tamim became only the second Bangladeshi batsmen to get score 200 in a test match. Really a tough test for the bowlers this was. The spinners and the pacers of both the teams bowled out their hearts. Youngster, Taijul picked up six wickets for Bangladesh. Shakib towards the end hit a fifty as well. That helped them to get a lead over 200. His team mates wanted him to play on and get a century but he decided to shake hands instead of getting to his century. Hats off to that, he surely is a team player and does not play only for numbers.
But, Tamim and Kayes simply stunned the Pakistanis on day 4. They had a partnership of 300 for the first wicket, a record partnership for Bangladesh in test matches. Kayes scored 150 and Tamim went on to get a double ton. Their knocks ensured that Bangladesh not only avoid a heavy innings defeat but also get a healthy lead.
In the first innings, Bangladesh scored 332. Mominul and Kayes scored fifties for them. Then came out Pakistan to bat. For them four players scored fifties and opener, Hafeez scored a fine double ton. At the half way stage Pakistan had a lead of close to 300, 296 to be precised. They might have thought of winning it with an innings at that point.
That is it! The players are shaking hands. The match ends in a DRAW! After five days of some exciting cricket, the match has unfortunately ended in a draw. 5 days of hard work for the bowlers from both the teams!
