Match end update : Bdesh record historic series win
Tamim Iqbal's second consecutive century helped Bangladesh achieve their first series win against Pakistan. He remained unbeaten on 116, a knock that included 17 fours and a six. Bangladesh have completely outplayed their opponents here. Their PM Sheikh Hasina waves the Bangladeshi flag in the crowd.
Bangladesh took 15 years and 320 days to beat Pakistan, only for the second time. Now, they have won 2 in a row in 3-days time.
Wicket : Too little, too late for Pak
Rahat Ali finally broke the 118-run third wicket stand as he removed Mushfiqur Rahim on 65. Mushfiqur was fooled by a slower delivery and ended up driving uppishly to point. Fawad Alam juggled the ball but managed to hang on. No worries for Bangladesh, however, they are well in control of the game.

Tamim Iqbal hits his second consecutive ton. He has also become the third Bangladeshi cricketer to hit back-to-back hundreds in ODIs. He has his arms outstretched as he celebrates his hundred and then swings his bat rapidly in delight. The helmet comes off and he soaks in all the applause. Well played, champ!
Update : Tamim, Mushfiqur on a roll
Mushfiqur got to his 22nd ODI fifty while Tamim is on his way towards his 6th ODI ton. Bangladesh now need less than 50 runs to win. This has been a dominating performance by them!

Oh! What has happened here? There is some issue with one of the floodlights as some of the bulbs appear to be out. The umpires have put the game on hold till the issue with the floodlights is taken care of. The players are going off the field for now. Hopefully, it won't take long before play resumes again.
In case the game does not re-start, Bangladesh are 77 runs ahead according to the D/L calculations.

The 82-run third wicket stand between Tamim and Mushfiqur has kept Bangladesh on course for a historic victory. Tamim is inching towards his hundred while Musfiqur is all set to score his fifty. Pakistan bowlers look woefully out of touch and skipper Azhar Ali looks lost for ideas.
Wicket : Ajmal is back!
Saeed Ajmal picked up his first wicket after his international return and bowled Mahmudullah on 17 with a beauty. The batsman had attempted a big slog sweep and missed it completely. Wicket maiden for Ajmal and he has managed to break a solid 78-run stand for the second wicket. On the other hand, Tamim has already hit 13 fours in his knock of 61.

Early wicket has not dented Bangladesh's scoring rate. Tamim Iqbal has hit four fours in his last five deliveries. The Pakistan fast bowlers are being hit all over the park. Mahmudullah has done well to give Tamim as much strike as possible.
Fifty : Unstoppable Tamim
Tamim Iqbal has just raced to his 30th ODI fifty after hitting 6 fours in seven balls. The left-hander is in fine touch and Bangladesh are scoring over 8 per over. The partnership is over 60 now.
Wicket : Early breakthrough for Pak
Junaid Khan struck in his second over to remove Soumya Sarkar on 17, who was looking in good touch. Sarkar went for the drive but ended up giving a thick outside edge to the keeper as the ball swung away from him. Mahmudullah has now joined Tamim at the crease.

After Haris Sohail's departure, Saad Nasim combined with Wahab Riaz to add 74 runs in the last 10 overs. Wahab Riaz scored a quick-fire 51, while Nasim remained unbeaten on 77. Do Pakistan have enough on the board? Only time will tell...

Update : Nasim, Wahab keep Pak afloat
Saad Nasim and Wahab Riaz have added 50-plus for the seventh wicket and Pakistan have pushed past the 200 mark. After losing their top-order for less than 100 runs, they are now inching towards a decent total.

Update : Nasim scores maiden fifty
Just when things were looking good for Pakistan, Haris Sohail spooned a simple catch to Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza off the inside half of his bat. He went for a fighting 44.
On the other hand, Saad Nasim has registered his maiden ODI fifty and is scoring at a decent rate. Wahab Riaz, who has joined him at the crease, hit three boundaries off Rubel in an over. 10 more overs to go and Pakistan are on 165/6. How much more can they add on?
Update : Pak up the ante
Pakistan scored 42 runs in the last five overs and are looking to get back on track. The partnership has crossed 75 and both Haris Sohail and Saad Nasim are batting in their 40s. Nasim, who was having trouble at the beginning, has already hit 5 fours and a six so far.
Update : Slow going
Pakistan are struggling to score. The runs have completely dried up and it has been 10 overs since the last boundary. Sohail has slowed considerably while Nasim is finding it difficult to time the ball.

Wicket : Pak slip further
Shakib picked up his second wicket, trapping Mohammad Rizwan on 13. The right-hander had survived a close stumping chance on 4 just three overs before. However, he could not capitalize and was struck plumb in front of middle and off. Bangladesh bowlers have completely destroyed the Pakistan top-order. Haris Sohail must be feeling the pressure.

Wicket : Quick wickets dent Pak
Bangladesh's Golden Boy Shakib Al Hasan struck in his first over to send Azhar Ali back on 36. Ali, who had got off to a solid start was struggling after Pakistan lost two quick wickets. The Pakistan captain, in an effort to force the issue and score quickly, tried to reverse-sweep the Shakib, but only ended up edging behind to Mushfiqur Rahim.
Pakistan were further jolted by Fawad Alam's wicket in the next over and were reeling on 59/4. Alam missed the cut and was out bowled by Nasir Hossain.

Wicket : Sarfraz departs after decent start
Before Sarfraz had a chance to establish himself, Rubel Hossain snapped him up on 7, thanks to a brilliant catch from Soumya Sarkar at widish slip. A wicket maiden over for Rubel and Pakistan have slowed down a bit.

Update : Pakistan off to solid start
Opting to bat first, Pakistan made a steady start to their innings as openers Azhar Ali and Sarfaraz Ahmed helped the side see off the new-ball bowlers without any setbacks. Ali was the more fluent batsman, taking on the bowlers from the very first over and helping himself to four boundaries in quick succession. Sarfaraz, who has not enjoyed much of the strike so far, will hope to get into his groove quickly, too.

It's a new day today and Pakistan will be hoping to turn their fortunes around. On the other hand, Bangladesh have a chance of creating history today. A victory to Bangladesh will give them an unassailable 2-0 lead. Pakistan's defeat to Bangladesh in the last game was only the second time that they lost an ODI to Bangladesh. Both teams have a lot to play for and it will be interesting to see what combinations they use.
The Pakistani batters started well, but they never quite looked in the run-chase. Even though Azhar Ali produced the highest score by a Pakistan player on captaincy debut, it was not enough to take his team through. Haris Sohail and debutant Mohammad Rizwan also registered fifties, but Pakistan lost their last 6 wickets for 33 runs and Bangladesh went 1-0 up after winning the game by 79 runs. For Bangladesh, both Taskin and Sunny were the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets each.
Pakistani pacers gave away runs, but the spinners were the ones who were put under the pump by the Bangladeshis. Saeed Ajmal, making a return to international cricket, was thrashed to all corners of the park. He gave away 74 runs in his 10 overs. In fact, three bowlers were used in the place of a fifth bowler and they gave away 79 runs combined.
