Post match :
Man of the Match: Mustafizur Rahman for his figures of 10-0-43-6.
Captain comments:
MS Dhoni: "Our batting is the problem. We need to put runs on the board. There was constant pressure on the batsmen as we lost some quick wickets. That meant we could not post a good score to defend. I don't think I would blame the bowlers for this particular game as we did not have enough runs on the board. We need to get partnerships. They (Bangladesh) are bowling well as a unit. Even when they did not get a wicket they kept it very tight. We will come and enjoy the next game without thinking about the result."
Mortaza: "Great moment for us. To qualify for the Champions Trophy is a great achievement. We worked really hard in the nets. The way Mustafizur is bowling, suddenly he has become the big fish of the tournament. Hopefully he will keep going and deliver his best for the country. Hopefully we will continue this good form in the future as well."
Match end : Bangladesh clinch series
Bangladesh have now officially qualified to play in the ICC champions trophy 2017. This is also their 10th successive win in ODIs.
Shakib stayed unbeaten on 51 to make sure that the hosts easily reached their target with 9 overs to spare.
Bangladesh played refreshingly aggressive cricket and gave a real hard time to Indian players in both departments. To sum up in simple words, it was Mustafizur Rahman vs India so far and no wonder the 19-year old lad has been the lynchpin for Bangladesh's success. The hosts were brilliant with the way they went about the chase. They were aggressive right from the word go and unsettled the bowlers with sheer intensity.

Update : Bangladesh on course
Mushfiqur was the fourth person to fall but Bangladesh remained well on course of a historic win. He was run out on 31 after sharing a fifty-plus stand with Shakib Al Hasan. The Indian bowlers could not create any chances and Bangladesh easily moved along in the chase. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Axar Patel, in particular, were expensive.

Wicket : A good stand and wickets
After Tamim fell, Soumya Sarkar and Litton Das regrouped to take on the Indian bowlers. They played positive cricket and brought up the fifty-plus stand for the second wicket. Axar Patel went for 15 in his first over and it looked like these two were going to run away with the game. However, R Aswhin, who has been in a terrific form for quite some time now, dismissed Sarkar on 34 and gave India the much-needed breakthrough. Sarkar was pushed back in the crease by a quicker delivery and was struck in front of middle stump.
At the other end, Litton Das continued playing confidently but he too fell soon after to Axar Patel on 36. The ball spun away from him as he looked to drive and Dhoni held onto it after a bit of a fumble.
Wicket : Tamim's luck runs out
Tamim Iqbal could not capitalize on the lifeline he got and was dismissed by Dhawal Kulkarni on 13. He went for a big booming drive, got an edge and offered an easy catch to Shikhar Dhawan at first slip.
India need wickets and this is a good start but they should not let partnerships build.
Update : Drama unfolds
The Bangladeshi innings was just one over old and a big catch controversy unfolded. Kohli claimed a catch of Tamim Iqbal (0) off Dhawal Kulkarni's bowling. He was pretty confident but the on-field umpire was unsure whether it was a clean catch and hence referred it to the third umpire. Replays were unclear and the third umpire could not determine whether Kohli at mid-off had his fingers underneath the ball while it was dying down. The Indian vice-captain was in a foul mood once the third umpire gave the benefit of doubt to Tamim.
Innings end : Bangladesh need 200 in 47 overs
India were bowled out for exactly 200. Rubel got Bhuvneshwar Kumar with a short delivery and made sure India did not do much damage in the final few overs that were left.
According to the D/L adjusted target, Bangladesh need 200 in 47 overs to win this and it could be an easy task for them if they just stick to the plan and do not take too many risks. They have chance of creating history here. Will they do it? Or will the Indian bowlers make a resounding come back? We'll know in a few minutes....
Wicket : Mustafizur 6-fer
What a brilliant young man is Mustafizur!
As soon as the play started, Ravindra Jadeja was cleaned up by him and the young bowler finished with figures of 10-0-43-6 in his second match and now becomes the first man to get 11 wickets in his first two ODIs.
Jadeja went for the flick, missed the shot, the ball took an inside edge and crashed into the stumps.
Rain Updates : Match delay

Wicket : Mustafizur on fire
The debutant had picked up a 5-fer in his first match and today has four wickets with a couple of his overs still to go. He picked up the well set MS Dhoni (47) and Axar Patel (0) on successive deliveries.
First to go was Dhoni, who after playing so carefully, checked his shot and chipped a length ball to short cover. The next man in, Axar Patel, missed a flick and was caught plumb in front.
India are in tatters at the moment. They do not even have 200 on the board and have lost seven wickets already.

Wicket : Raina falls
India are crumbling after putting up good partnerships. After MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina shared a sedate 53-run stand, the latter was dismissed by Mustafizur Rahman. Raina was cramped for room to this shortish ball, it was not all that wide but he still went ahead with the steer and edged it to the keeper.
Sweepstakes : How much will India post?
MS Dhoni is batting well and has stabilized the Indian innings. With more than 20 overs still left, India have a chance to put a good total on the board. How much will they score? I say 300. What about you?

Wicket : Dhawan, Rayudu depart
Nasir Hossain got his second wicket of the game - another big one, in form of Shikhar Dhawan. The left-hander came forward and looked to drive away from his body but the ball brushed the outside edge of his bat and offered a simple catch to the keeper.
Immediately in the next over, Rayudu departed for a duck. He looked to steer a shortish delivery but was unable to get on top of the bounce and chopped it straight to backward point. Rubel got his first wicket of the game.

Milestone :
Wicket : Kohli has to go!
Virat Kohli was playing fantastically but he has perished before he could do any significant damage. Nasir Hossain was brought into the attack and took a wicket in his second over itself. Kohli missed the flick and was trapped in front of middle and leg. He looked absolutely annoyed as he walked back.
Dhoni promoted himself to number four and walked in to join Dhawan at the crease.
Update : Partnership steadies India
After Rohit departed, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli recorded their 9th fifty-plus partnership in ODIs. Both batsmen batted with intent and played some fantastic shots. They took the Bangladesh pacers and were easily playing them all over the park.
Rain was around the corner and a slight drizzle stopped play for a couple of minutes, but it vanished away soon and play resumed.

Wicket : Big blow for India
Rohit Sharma, who had top-scored for India in the first match, could not replicate his success today and succumbed to Mustafizur in the first over itself. He went for a second ball duck, thanks to a fine catch by Sabbir Rahman at backward point. Rohit came on the front foot and drove away from the body but got an outside edge instead, that was snaffled up by Sabbir, who dived in front to hold onto it.
Toss and teams : India opt to bat
India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and opted to bat first. He said that looking at the conditions, they decided to make three changes. Ajinkya Rahane, Umesh Yadav, and Mohit Sharma make way for Axar Patel, Dhawal Kulkarni, and Ambati Rayudu.
Teams:
India (Playing XI): Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni(w/c), Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dhawal Kulkarni
Bangladesh (Playing XI): Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim(w), Shakib Al Hasan, Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Mashrafe Mortaza(c), Rubel Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman

Build-up :
Cricket this month has been quite happening. England are the New England while Bangladesh are the New Bangladesh. Both teams had a forgettable World Cup, but both teams have bounced back fantastically to take on two in-form teams - New Zealand and India, respectively.
Bangladesh kicked off the three-match ODI series against India with a resounding win in the opener - a solid 79-run victory on the back of a decent batting performance and a much better bowling performance. 19-year old Mustafizur Rahman took a five-for on debut and announced himself on the international circuit. Apart from Rohit Sharma, no other Indian batsman was able to withstand the Bangladeshi bowlers.
India need a win tonight to level the series and stay alive in the competition. Read more in our previewhere.
Weather: There is a bit of rain around but for now, it has stopped.
